Construction on 14th Street
From Emery Pritchard, HVCA President
I had the opportunity to speak with the lead foreman from New Hook Trenching recently and was briefed on what is happing and what this project is for on 14th street in our community.
The official name of the project is “The Shaw Corridor Project” on behalf of Rogers telecommunications.
The project will take approximately 3-4 weeks and will make a real mess until mid April. One of the lanes will be closed on 14th street south for a duration while they perform directional drilling towards the west cellular tower beside 7-11. After the heavy earthworks has been completed the company will be returning to our community to revitalize all areas that will require a touch-up for green spaces and roadways in early June. The lead foreman has asked if HVCA to communicate to the community with regards to driving speeds in the construction zones. For the safety of our community and for the workers please respect the reduced speed in the construction zones.
